Shahzaib had his preschool graduation at the end of May, and although he is continuing with the summer program at his Montessori, I wanted to make sure he still had a memorable summer getting to enjoy the long days and the beautiful warm weather.

One of our favorite things to do when the weather is warm is eat popsicles outside on our patio, it’s something I’ve been doing with Shahzaib since he was small, and it’s such a fun bonding activity. I also wanted to incorporate some fun activities on the weekends and came up with the following list that I thought I’d share. The nice thing about where we live is that the cities around us host some of these activities for free, such as movie nights at the park, concerts and events downtown, farmer markets, and others, but even if yours don’t, several things can be done for little or no money that will leave your children with lasting memories:

  • Movie at the park
  • Drive-in movies
  • Movie night at home or backyard
  • A day spent at a water parks or splash pad
  • Swimming at the pool
  • Going to the beach or lagoon
  • Camping
  • Picnic at the park
  • Concerts and events downtown
  • County fair
  • Farmer markets
  • Activities at the library
  • Local train rides
  • Visiting a zoo or museum
  • Day trip to a farm or berry picking
  • Gardening/growing fruits and vegetables in your backyard

I hope you find this list helpful. If you do, please like and save it so you can refer back to it in the future. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer 😎.

Sincerely,

Fun Day At The Pumpkin Patch https://sincerelysana.com/fun-day-at-the-pumpkin-patch/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=fun-day-at-the-pumpkin-patch https://sincerelysana.com/fun-day-at-the-pumpkin-patch/#comments Fri, 18 Oct 2019 02:45:47 +0000 http://sincerelysana.com/?p=256 October is my favorite month of the year, not only because it’s my birthday month, but because I love seeing the leaves on the trees changing from green to the various shades of rust, crimson, and gold, sweater season, pumpkin spice muffins and warm spiced apple cider!

Ever since Shahzaib started walking which was about a month ago, I’ve been trying to look for new and fun activities to do with him and now that it’s fall and there is a pumpkin patch practically around every corner, I thought why not take him to one. So today, Shahzaib and I headed over to Perry Pumpkin Patch in Fremont, CA. Since we went on a weekday, admission was free, otherwise, it’s $1.00, which is not bad at all. In addition to all the pumpkins, Perry Pumpkin Patch also had a hay maze, a tire patch for kids to play in, tracker rides and several wooden cut-outs for photo ops.

Once we entered the pumpkin patch, Shahzaib headed straight to the tire patch. It was an area with different types of tires painted in fall colors for the kids to climb and crawl under. He really enjoyed going under the larger tires from one side to the other. I found it cute as he ducked his head when walking under some of the lower tires. He also had fun seeing all the different sized pumpkins and even tried picking a few of them up. It was nice seeing him run around and having a great time outside.

Our first time at the pumpkin patch was a hit, it was an enjoyable day for both of us; we got to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and Shahzaib got to experience something new. I am looking forward to next year when we can take him again. Since he will be a year older, I think he might enjoy it even more.

For all the other moms looking for activities to do with your children this time of year, I would definitely recommend you go and spend some time at your local pumpkin patch. It’s an activity that both you and your toddler will enjoy and a great way to make memories. If you also come across other fun fall activities, please share them with me below in the comments section. I would love to hear as I am always looking for new suggestions on things that both Shahzaib and I can try. Thank you 🙂

Sincerely,
Sana
